If you've ever wanted to walk into a quiet town full of thick-thighed locals who’ve all got baggage, backstories, and biceps—and slowly get involved in each of their lives Those NPC’s Love Stories delivers. It’s a warm, muscle-filled RPG where the action is replaced by affection, and you’re not here to save the world you’re just here to be present.
This is a game about slow days, second chances, and maybe getting tangled in the bedsheets with a guy who owns a local shop.
What’s Those NPC’s Love Stories Game About?
After flopping post-graduation, your dad gives you one last shove toward responsibility, by sending you to a nearby town to help childhood neighbor Jimmy set up for the fireworks festival. Once there, the pace slows down. You're introduced to a handful of men, each with their own routines, regrets, and romantic potential.
No evil overlords. No apocalyptic stakes. Just a week to breathe, talk, flirt, and maybe heal with someone else who's been stuck in his own head for a while.
Schedules, Not Sprints
Time in Those NPC’s Love Stories moves in six parts: early morning, morning, afternoon, evening, night, and late night. You’re not punished for walking around—the clock only ticks when you trigger key scenes.
This lets you explore the town freely, chasing whichever story threads interest you. Some scenes hit hard. Others are soft, weird, or a little horny (depending on the mode you’re in). And every route is full of those “wait, this guy is way deeper than I expected” moments.

Optional NSFW Mode
You can switch between SFW and NSFW at any point, no save reloads, no locked content. The story stays the same, but the dialogue and CGs change depending on your setting. It’s a good system if you want emotional bonding and sweaty art.
Who You Can Romance in Those NPC’s Love Stories

This town has several guys you can get close to. All of them are full romance options, and none of them are just stereotypes. Their designs lean into bara muscle, but their stories push past it.
Jimmy
Childhood neighbor turned local shopkeeper. Used to be awkward. Now he’s broad-shouldered, steady, and way more attractive than you remember.
Zack
The hospital nurse. Left med school to support his brother. Now he’s thinking of going back. Very serious, very tired, surprisingly easy to fluster.
Odin
A pro wrestler who’s better at playing a persona than being himself. Heavy drinker, heavier thoughts.
Quentin
A striper working the clubs, saving up to change paths. Chill and more grounded than he lets on.
Vik
Academic turned late-in-life ballroom dancer. Big frame, soft core, easily flustered. Loves animals. Small ones.
Each route is tracked by a built-in event tree that helps you monitor progress without spoiling how to unlock everything.
Shared Universe with Dead Dating
If you’ve played Dead Dating, you’ll notice some cameos. Characters from that game pop in for scenes, tying the games together without pulling focus. It’s a nice touch that makes the world feel lived-in.
Chill, Controlled Exploration

You explore the town via a simple 2D side-scroll map. It’s limited but deliberate. No grind, no stat balancing. Just visiting places, choosing scenes, and deciding how to spend your time.
You’ll visit rooftops, parks, gyms, shops, apartments, and more all with their own vibes and character-specific scenes. Sometimes you’ll run into shirtless locals. Sometimes you’ll just sit and talk.

Why Those NPC’s Love Stories Works
Those NPC’s Love Stories doesn’t try to be big. It just wants to be cozy. It gives you a week to explore quiet lives and maybe make one of them a little louder. It’s romantic, calm, and deeply bara. The art is clean, the writing leans casual but tender, and the characters feel human, even when they’re built like tanks.
