Shaping Kingdoms and Love: An Insightful Discussion with the Creator of 'Celestial Crowns'

1. Tell us a little about yourself and work?

My name is Min and I'm a solo dev. My brand name is "Harlevin VNs." I started making visual novels in 2015 and have since published individually or worked on collaboratively ten works.

2. Tell us about your BL game?

I have a few games that fit into the BL category. My current project is called "Celestial Crowns," and it lets you become a Monarch in charge of a fantasy kingdom, where you must deal with the recent assassination of your father, and a proposal from a neighboring kingdom. It features a personality system where most choices are tied to nine different traits, with up to nine options for each choice for more replayability.

3.What inspires your work?

Visual novels in general are very inspiring to me, I love the medium and feel it's my favorite way to tell stories.

4.What does pride month mean to you?

Pride month to me means a time to celebrate and lift up people in the queer community, which I am proud to be a part of.

I will be launching a Kickstarter shortly! It will be my second attempt to raise money for Celestial Crowns. The first was unsuccessful but still raised nearly $14,000, so I think with a smaller goal and project scope we can get there this time.
